Tour Plan
Day One - Lilongwe
Your driver will meet you at Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe to transport you by private taxi for the approx 45 minute journey to your accommodation.
Accommodation for tonight will be at Kumbali Country Lodge in a private ensuite room on half board dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day Two to Five - Liwonde National Park
You’ll have an early breakfast today as you will embark on a 4 hour journey to the Mvuu boat pickup point inside Liwonde National Park. It’s just a short 5 minute boat ride across the river to where you’ll have lunch before your first afternoon game activity.
Accommodation for the next three nights will be at the beautiful Mvuu Wilderness Lodge in a private ensuite tented chalet on a full board basis with local drinks included. You’ll have a total of six game activities included during your stay - including the fantastic boat safari along the Shire river surrounded by wildlife.
This exclusive safari getaway based right on the shores of the Shire river combines the rugged African bush with luxurious comfort and unforgettable game activities. With beautifully designed chalets, a cooling swimming pool and a great wine selection - your time in between game activities will be almost as memorable
Day Five to Seven - The Makokola Retreat
After your final morning game activity and breakfast, you’ll take a short 5 minute boat trip back across the Shire river where your driver will be waiting to take you for the 1.5 hour journey to The Makokola Retreat on the beautiful southern Malawi lakeshore.
You’ll be staying for two nights in a Lake Suite on an all-inclusive basis. All your meals, non-premium drinks, gelato, laundry and non-motorised activities will be included.
Enjoy stunning lakeshore views in style. The Makokola Retreat (fondly nicknamed Club Mak) offers several restaurants, cafes, and swimming pools in beautiful surroundings.
Day Seven to Ten - Blue Zebra Island Lodge
You’ll have an early breakfast and depart by 8.30am this morning to reach the boat pick-up point in Senga Bay. From here you’ll be transferred over to the luxury Blue Zebra Island Lodge by speedboat - just 20 minutes from mainland.
You’ll spend three nights in this luxury resort staying in an executive chalet on a full board basis.
With luxury ensuite safari tents, incredible food, fully stocked bar and an infinity pool, Blue Zebra offers comfort and style as well as a fantastic selection of activities like walking one of their trails to enjoy the undisturbed nature or taking an afternoon kayak. On your last morning you'll take a private boat off the island where your driver will be waiting to take you directly to Kamuzu International Airport, approx. 90 minutes from Senga Bay, ready for your departing flight.
